David Gallegos

David Gallegos was born September 23, 1954 in Denver, Colorado. After winning scholarships in Painting and Drawing, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with High Distinction from California College of Arts and Crafts in 1974. In 1977 Gallegos received his Master of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Printmaking from the University of California San Francisco. From 1978 to 1990, Mr. Gallegos had numerous one person and group museum exhibitions in San Francisco. During this time he worked with Tamarind lithographer, Ernest DeSoto, and in 1985-86 produced five limited edition lithographs. Including the famous “Art for Peace project.”
